
Tulsa’s Adam Higuera Named to Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List

HARRISBURG, Pa. –– The University of Tulsa long snapper Adam Higuera was named one of 20 preseason candidates to the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List, it was announced today.
The Patrick Mannelly Award is presented to the best FBS senior long snapper and is in its second season. The Award benefits Bernie's Book Bank, a non-profit organization located in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Last year's inaugural winner was John Shannon from Notre Dame.
Higuera, a senior from Gilbert, Arizona, has handled long snapping duties in all of his 36 career games played.
The 6'1" senior has been flawless as Tulsa's long snapper since his first game as a true freshman in 2017. In his first career contest, Higuera scored Tulsa's first touchdown of the 2017 season after recovering a fumbled punt in the end zone against Oklahoma State.
Ten semi-finalists for the Patrick Mannelly Award will be announced on November 16, 2020 and then three finalists selected on November 27, 2020. The winner is tentatively expected to be announced on December 12, 2020.
Tulsa opens the 2020 football season on Saturday, September 5, with a home game against the Toledo Rockets.
