The Tulsa women's soccer team will play an eight-game schedule, facing each of the American Athletic Conference opponents once in the 2020-21 season, as announced today by head coach Kyle Cussen.

Two conference opponents advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2019 and finished the season ranked in the top 25.  USF advanced to the third round of the NCAA Championship, while Memphis played in the first round.  The Bulls and Tigers both concluded the season ranked in the final United Soccer Coaches poll, coming in at No. 16 and No. 21, respectively.

Tulsa will begin the season at Memphis (Feb. 21), which won The American regular season championship last year, posted 17 wins and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  The Tigers have won 10 of the 15 meetings with Tulsa.

TU returns home to host UCF (Feb. 28) and Cincinnati (March 7), before traveling to USF (March 13) and Houston (March 21).  The Bulls captured The American tournament title, tallied 16 wins and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last year, while the Knights posted 11 wins, the Bearcats had seven and Houston earned six.  The series between Tulsa and Houston is tied, 5-5-3, while UCF has a 14-0-1 lead in the series over TU, Cincinnati has a 7-2 lead and USF has a 5-1 advantage.

Tulsa will host Temple (March 28), travel to ECU (April 3) and then close out the regular season at home against SMU (April 11).  The Mustangs recorded 12 wins last season, while the Owls and Pirates both had five victories.  Tulsa has a 3-2-1 lead in the series over Temple, while SMU has a 25-8-2 advantage over Tulsa and ECU leads the series 8-5-1.

The American Athletic Conference tournament will feature the top four teams in the final regular season league standings.  The semifinals are set for April 15 and the championship will be played on April 17.
