Tulsa Volleyball Began Practice this Week

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane volleyball team began practice this week for the 2020-21 season after the normal fall season was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
Tulsa will play a 10-game spring schedule which includes two-game series with each opponent being from the West Division of the American Athletic Conference. TU is set to have its first match at home in the Reynolds Center on Thursday, Feb. 11 against Wichita State at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Hurricane returns 8 letterwinners from 2019, including both upperclassmen starting middle blockers Maggie Hembree and Callie Cook. Kylie Trefflich who sat out last season after transferring from Texas Tech and three freshmen look to make immediate impacts for Tulsa.
 
Head Coach Ryan Wills is in his seventh season at the helm of the Hurricane and holds a record of 108-84 at TU. In 2019, he led the Hurricane to a 18-16 record and a National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) semifinals appearance.
 
This season all home matches will be televised on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball this year.
