
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Ranked No. 2 Nationally

The Tulsa men's soccer team was ranked No. 2 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches poll that was released today.
The ranking ties the Golden Hurricane's best mark when TU was ranked at No. 2 in the NSCAA (now United Soccer Coaches), Soccer Times and Top Drawer Soccer polls in 2010. Tulsa has been ranked as high as No. 3 in the College Soccer News and Soccer America polls, and No. 4 in the BennettRank/Hero Sports poll.
Tulsa is also currently ranked No. 6 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll and No. 8 in the College Soccer News poll.
TU has a 13-1-1 overall record, including an 8-1-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play. The Hurricane ranks first in the nation in penalty kicks (1.00), fourth in won-lost-tied percentage (0.900), sixth in scoring offense (2.53), ninth in goal differential (26), 12th in shot accuracy (0.493), 14th in total goals (38), 16th in goals-against average (0.777), 20th in saves percentage (0.793), 20th in total points (106), 25th in shutout percentage (0.467) and 46th in total assists (30).
No. 1 seed Tulsa returns to action on Wednesday, November 10 as they host No. 4 seed SMU in The American Championship semifinals beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
