Tulsa Men’s Soccer Kicks Off Season at UCF on Saturday

The Tulsa men's soccer team will kick off the 2020-21 season at #7/10 UCF on Saturday beginning at 5:00 pm Central at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex in Orlando, Fla.

The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Tulsa returns 18 student-athletes, including five starters from a year ago, and welcomed 11 newcomers to the roster. The Golden Hurricane looks to bounce back after a 4-9-2 overall record and a 0-5-1 mark last season in The American. TU is led by junior defender Mitchell Cashion who was a unanimous selection to the American Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference Team earlier this season and finished the 2019 campaign with all-conference second team honors.

UCF, which is ranked seventh in the College Soccer News preseason poll and 10th in the latest Top Drawer Soccer poll, posted a 15-3-2 overall record and a 6-0-1 mark in The American last year. The Knights dropped a 1-0 decision to SMU in The American championship, and then a 2-1 overtime decision to the Mustangs in the NCAA Championship Third Round.
