
Juan Pablo Cenoz Named The American’s Tennis Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas –– University of Tulsa tennis student-athlete Juan Pablo Cenoz was named the American Athletic Conference's Male Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office.
Cenoz, a redshirt freshman, helped Tulsa to two wins in three matches last week as the Golden Hurricane topped Washington (4-3) and No. 23 Texas Tech (5-2).
His three-set win at No. 5 singles against the Huskies tied the match at 3-3, while he accounted for Tulsa's fifth team point against the Red Raiders after winning a third-set tiebreaker. Cenoz improved his singles record to 5-3 in the 2021 season with five wins in his last six matches.
The weekly award is Cenoz's first career conference player of the week honor.
