Joiner Named to AAC Honor Roll for the Second Consecutive Week

TULSA, Okla. – Senior Elijah Joiner, for the third time this season, was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, leading the Hurricane on senior night against the Cincinnati Bearcats, in the Reynolds Center, it was announced today.
 
The Hurricane point guard was one of three Tulsa players in double-figures Wednesday, when TU took on the Bearcats on the home court.

Joiner tied his career-high with 22 point shooting 5-10 (50%) from the field and 2-3 (67%) from three. The senior set a career-high in free throw makes and attempts, going 10-13 (77%) from the charity stripe.
 
The Chicago native played an all-around great game grabbing 6 rebounds, dishing out 4 assists and recording 2 steals and a block in the game.
 
This is the third time this season and the second consecutive week Joiner has been named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll. Joiner's honor is the 9th AAC honor for the Hurricane this season. Brandon Rachal was named AAC Player of the Week on Jan. 4 after leading TU to wins against then No. 5 Houston and Cincinnati.
 
Tulsa will be back in action on Tuesday, March 2 on the road in the Addition Financial Arena against the UCF Knights on ESPNU.
