The Tulsa men's soccer team battled Temple to a 0-0 double-overtime tie on Saturday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 2-1-1 on the season, while the Owls moved to 2-3-1 overall.
Â
"Overall I am proud of the guys effort," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "Our concentration level and discipline were good for the whole 110 minutes, we were just unfortunate to not get a goal tonight. It wasn't for a lack of pressure or work so we just have to learn from it and get better in the final third."
Â
Tulsa had a 22-4 lead in shots, including a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal, and a 10-3 lead in corner kicks.
Â
Alex Meinhard had a team-best nine shots, while Ben Barkley added three attempts, Will Edwards and Mariano Fazio both had two, and six others had one shot. Lucas Cline logged all 110 minutes in goal and picked up one save in the shutout.
