Tulsa Golfers in Lead Heading into Final Round at AAC Championship

PINEHURST, NC –– Tulsa and East Carolina share the lead heading into Tuesday's final round at the 54-hole American Athletic Conference Championships at the par-4 Pinehurst No. 6 Course. The Golden Hurricane shot a 13-over par 301, while ECU had the best round of the day with an 8-over par 296 for 36-hole totals of 594.
The nation's 31st ranked UCF Knights are one stroke back at 595 and two-time defending champion Houston, ranked 20th nationally, is five shots back at 599, while South Florida rounds out the top five schools with a 604 total.
Junior Lorena Tseng and freshman Tita Loudtragulngam turned in the best rounds of the day for the Hurricane with 2-over par scores of 74. Tseng is in a four-way tie for third place with a 2-over par 146 total. She began the day 3-over par after two holes and was 4-over par at the turn, but played 2-under on the back nine to finish the day 2-over par.
Loudtragulngam bettered her first round score by six strokes for a 25th-place total score of 154. She played even-par through the first nine holes, but 2-over on the final nine.
Lilly Thomas is in 10th place overall after turning in a round of 75 and has a 36-hole score of 149, while Taylor Dobson carded a round of 76 and is in a 14th-place tie with a total score of 150. Haley Greb is in 34th place with a 157 total score.
ECU's Dorthea Forbrigd leads the tournament with a 1-under para score of 143 after today's even par 72.
Tulsa will tee-off at 8:20 a.m. (CT) on Tuesday.
