Zachary Adee Records Top Tulsa Finish in Final Day of John McDonnell Invitational

Zachary Adee had a second-place performance in the 100m dash for Tulsa's top mark in the final day of competition at the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. 
 
The Golden Hurricane will return to action on Friday, May 7 in the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville, Ark.
 
MEN
Zachary Adee (10.38) and Josh Sutton (10.45) both tallied personal-best times in the 100m dash for second and sixth place, respectively, while Joseph Nemec had a time of 12.09 for 26th place.
 
In the 800m run, Isaac Akers had a team-best time of 1:51.94 for seventh place, while Pete Johnson (18 – 1:53.49), Cameron Field (21 – 1:54.37), Christian Baker (24 – 1:56.28), Malte Propp (25 – 1:57.05), Kaden Hicks (26 – 1:57.13) and Jerik Embleton (31 – 2:00.48) round out the TU competitors in the event.
 
Josh Sutton, Zachary Adee, Henry Visser and Kyran Lacy combined for a seventh-place time of 41.28 in the 4x100m relay.
 
Kyran Lacy had a team-best 15th place performance with his time of 48.83 in the 400m dash, while Henry Visser recorded his personal best of 49.00 for 18th place and Emmanuel Okwuone was 28th in a time of 50.97.
 
WOMEN
In the long jump, Carsyn Spurgeon recorded a jump of 5.83m (19'1.5") for seventh place, while Rachel Hamel had a career-long jump of 5.12m (16'9.75") for a 24th-place finish.
 
Brianna Hays and Jaidah McCallon's finish in the 800m run came down to the 100ths of a second, as Hays finished eighth in a time of 2:11.561 and McCallon was ninth with a time of 2:11.568.  Keely Jones finished 13th (2:14.01), while Rachel Hamel was 24th (2:32.42).
 
Jaidyn McCallon (55.66), Ca'Purnika Galbert (56.95) and Kaitlyn Johnson (58.77) all recorded season-bests in the 400m dash to finish eighth, 11th and 14th, respectively.
 
In the 4x100m relay, Jaidyn McCallon, Cara Johnson, Ca'Purnika Galbert, Carsyn Spurgeon combined for a time of 47.05 for eighth place.
 
Hannah Booe turned in a time of 12.53 in the 100m dash to finish 16th overall.
 
Rachel Hamel recorded a personal-best time of 14.58 in the 100m hurdles for 17th place.
