TULSA, Okla. –  Kylie Norwood and Chenise Delce were both named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after the Hurricane swept the East Carolina Pirates, it was announced today.

Norwood put in one of her best weekends of the season, going 7-15 from the plate while driving in 2 runs. She recorded a .933 slugging percentage and a .529 on base percentage during the series. In the third game of the series against ECU, the second baseman went 5-5, including a double and home run.
In the field, Norwood was as dominant as she was from the plate, recording a 1.000 fielding percentage with 7 put-outs and 4 assists.

Delce earned her third Weekly Honor Roll nomination, giving Tulsa a boost from inside the circle and batter's box. During the series, Delce went 3-10 with a double and 4 runs batted in, which was tied for most on the team.

Delce drew two starts during the weekend, starting on the rubber for both the series opener and finale. She pitched a total of 14 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits. The sophomore struck out 17 Pirate batters, picking up 2 wins and moving her record to 6-5 on the season.

The honors are the 11th time that a Hurricane has received American Athletic Conference weekly honors. Delce (March 8, Apr. 5 and Apr. 26) and Norwood (Apr. 5 and Apr. 26) join Samantha Pochop (Apr. 12 and Apr. 19) and Alexis Perry (March 29) as Hurricane players named to the Honor Roll.
Perry received Player of the Week honors on Apr. 19, as Haley Morgan (March 8) was named Player of the Week after her performance during the OSU/TU Tournament. Perry, Morgan and Pochop are the only Hurricane to be selected for Player of the Week awards this season.

TU has a big weekend ahead, welcoming the No. 11-ranked Oklahoma Stat Cowgirls on Wednesday, April 28 before the Wichita State Shockers come to the Collins Family Softball Complex April 30-May 2.
