BATON ROUGE, La. –– For the second consecutive day, heavy rainstorms forced cancelation of the start of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship – Baton Rouge Regional on Tuesday.
After Monday's cancelation of the first 18 holes, play was expected to take place today with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. (CT) at the par-72 University Club.
Teams will attempt to play the first and final round of the tournament on Wednesday.
If the round cannot be played on Wednesday the top-6 seeds will advance to the NCAA Championship, May 21-26, at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The top-6 seeds are host LSU, Ole Miss, Baylor, Oregon, Maryland and Alabama. Tulsa came into the regional as the No. 13 seed after winning the American Athletic Conference Championship.
