
Tulsa’s Meinhard and Bromstedt Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

Tulsa's Alex Meinhard was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-East Region First Team, while Chase Bromstedt picked up Second Team accolades, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches.
Meinhard, a forward from Tartu, Estonia, started in nine of 10 games on the season, and recorded a team-best seven goals, five of which were game-winners, 15 points and 34 shots. He ranks first in the nation in game-winning goals, 17th in goals per game (0.70), 20th in shots per game (3.40), 20th in total goals, 32nd in points per game (1.50) and 43rd in total points. Meinhard was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, picked up The American all-conference and all-rookie team accolades, was The American Offensive Player of the Week twice and Rookie of the Week twice, as well as was tabbed to the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer National Teams of the Week a combined three times.
A senior midfielder from Parkville, Mo., Bromstedt has been a four-year starter for the Golden Hurricane. This season he started in 10 of 11 games, recorded one assist and attempted nine shots. Bromstedt was named to The American all-conference second team earlier this year.
Meinhard and Bromstedt are TU's 67th and 68th players to be named to an all-region team.
