
Tulsa’s Alex Meinhard Named to Two Freshman Teams

Tulsa freshman men's soccer player Alex Meinhard was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman First Team and the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Best XI Team, as announced by their respective publications.
Meinhard, a forward from Tartu, Estonia, started in nine of 10 games on the season, and recorded a team-best seven goals, five of which were game-winners, 15 points and 34 shots. He ranked first in the nation in game-winning goals, 17th in goals per game (0.70), 20th in shots per game (3.40), 20th in total goals, 32nd in points per game (1.50) and 43rd in total points. Meinhard was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region first team, was the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, picked up The American all-conference and all-rookie team accolades, was The American Offensive Player of the Week twice and Rookie of the Week twice, as well as was tabbed to the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer National Teams of the Week a combined three times.
Meinhard is TU's first CSN All-Freshman Team selection since Austin Neil was named to the team in 2008 and first TDS Freshman Best XI since Juan Sanchez picked up the honor in 2015.
