Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Earns 1-0 Win Over Creighton

The Tulsa women's soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Creighton on Thursday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 1-2 on the season, while the Bluejays fell to 2-1 overall.
"We've been working for this the last couple of months," Tulsa Head Coach Jim Rhein said. It has been baby steps, but they believe in themselves and support one another, and they worked hard today."
Jadyn Chee recorded her first collegiate goal in the 87th minute as she took the ball up the left side and shot from 18 yards out from left to right off an assist from Kayla Fernandez.
Creighton had a 15-8 lead in shots, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal, and a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
Karsen Aguirre had a team-best three shots, while five others had one attempt. Emma Malsy logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up eight saves.
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, August 29 against Missouri State beginning at 2:00 pm at the Hurricane Stadium.
