TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's basketball team will attempt to snap a five-game skid when it welcomes the University of Memphis to the Donald W. Reynolds Center for a Sunday afternoon matchup.

Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. (CT) on ESPN. Kevin Brown will provide the play-by-play, and Jon Crispin will serve as the analyst for the matchup. Fans can also catch Bruce Howard and J.R. Rollo on Big Country 99.5 FM.

In addition, the Armed Forces Network will distribute the game, joining the game in progress at 3 p.m. (CT). The AFN broadcasts to approximately 500,000 active duty, uniformed armed forces personnel from all service branches stationed around the globe at U.S. military installations, U.S. embassies and consulates in 170+ territories and sailors aboard 140+ ships-at-sea operating outside of U.S. waters.

The Golden Hurricane (6-10, 0-5 The American) enter Sunday's game having lost to Cincinnati on Thursday 90-69. It was the first time in this five-game losing streak Tulsa had lost by more than five points.

Darien Jackson set a career high with 21 on 9-of-14 shooting (64.3 percent) and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals. He is now tied for 18th in program history for career steals with Byron Boudreaux (119 steals) who played at Tulsa from 1983-87.

Jeriah Horne scored 19 points and pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds, and Sam Griffin scored 10 to round out Tulsa's double-figure scoring.

Memphis (9-8, 3-4 The American) has gone just 1-3 since the teams met in Memphis on Jan. 4. The Tigers beat Cincinnati and then have gone on a three-game losing streak of their own, including a 70-62 defeat to SMU on Thursday.

Tyler Harris and Jalen Duren led the Tigers with 17 and 11 points respectively, but they were the only two to finish in double-figures. Duren also had nine rebounds, narrowly missing on a double-double.

Memphis and Tulsa meet for the second time this season, with the Tigers taking care of business at home in the first matchup, 67-64. Tulsa trailed by as many as 18 in the second half, and 15 points with 10 minutes to go before staging a comeback attempt.

A Griffin 3-pointer from Pritchard's seventh assist got Tulsa within one. Jackson had a chance to tie the game with a half-court heave, but it bounced off the side of the rim, finally putting Tulsa's comeback attempt to bed.

Memphis now leads the all-time series 30-21, but Tulsa does hold a narrow 11-10 lead at home and have won the previous six games in the Reynolds Center.

Horne's 19-point performance in Cincinnati raised his scoring average to 17.3 points per game to lead the Hurricane. His scoring also ranks him fourth in the conference. In addition, Horne leads the conference in both rebounding (7.4 per game) and defensive rebounding (5.8). Griffin is second on the team and fifth in the conference in scoring, averaging 15.7 points a night. Horne and Griffin are third and fourth in the conference for made field goals, hitting 98 and 93 respectively.

DeAndre Williams and Emoni pace the Tigers, averaging 11.3 and 10.8 points per game. Duren pulls down 7.3 rebounds per game, just below Horne, and Williams is second on the team with 5.3.

After Sunday's game, the Hurricane travel to Tulane for a midweek game against the Green Waves on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. (CT) and the game will air live on ESPNU.
