Plain White T’s and Lee Greenwood to Perform at TU Football Chapman Commons Concert Series

TULSA, Okla. –– American Rock Band Plain White T's and Country Music singer/songwriter Lee Greenwood will perform as part of the Chapman Commons Concert Series prior to the next two Tulsa Golden Hurricane football games.
 
Plain White T's will take the performance stage before the Tulsa-SMU game on Homecoming, Oct. 29. Game time and performance time will be announced on Sunday, Oct. 23.
 
Lee Greenwood performs prior to the Tulsa-Tulane contest on Military Appreciation Day, Nov 5. Game time and performance time will be announced on Oct. 24.
 
The Plain White T's formed in 1997 by a group of high school friends in Lombard, Illinois, and 10 years later their hit song "Hey There Delilah" went quadruple-platinum and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July 2007.  It also reached No. 1 on the US Pop 100 and US Adult Top 40, and peaked to No. 1 in Canada, the Czech Republic, Europe and Germany.
 
Greenwood was twice named the Country Music Association (CMA) Male Vocalist of the Year and once named the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Male Artist of the Year. He also received a Grammy Award for Best Male Country Vocalist. His rendition of "God Bless the U.S.A." won the CMA's award for Song of the Year in 1985.
 
The theme for Homecoming 2022 is "I Love TU". On Military Appreciation Day, fans are asked to join TU football in recognizing and honoring our brave military personnel, past and present.
