Justin Wright Named AAC Defensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas –– Tulsa linebacker Justin Wright was named the American Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.
 
Wright, a 6'2" senior from Abilene, Texas, had a standout performance last Thursday in a loss at Memphis.
 
He tied his season-high with 13 tackles, including nine solos, along with a season-best 2.5 TFL for -17 yards and one sack for -13 yards. Wright also forced one fumble, had one pass breakup and was credited with one QB hurry.
 
Tulsa will close out the home season this Friday night with an 8 p.m. game against the South Florida Bulls.
