Layla Roebke Claims First in 5,000-Meter at Sooner Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. Layla Roebke claimed first in the 5,000-meter run, narrowly edging out teammate Katharina Pesendorfer, during the first day of the Sooner Invitational & Multis.
 
The Tulsa duo finished over 15 seconds ahead of the rest of the field, as Roebke finished at 17:29.33, .03 ahead of Pesendorfer at 17:29.36.
 
Tulsa had seven runners compete in three different events today. Cara Johnson, Hannah Booe, Julia Richard all competed in the women's 100-meter dash prelims, while Josh Sutton and Zachary Adee competed in the men's 100-meter dash prelims.
 
The Sooner Invitational & Multis continue tomorrow.
