Tulsa’s Power Runs in 5,000 Meters at NCAA Championships Friday

EUGENE, Oregon –– Tulsa's Micheal (pronounced Me-hall) Power will compete in finals of the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday night, June 10, at historic Hayward Field.
Power qualified for the 5,000m final when he clocked a fifth-place time of 13:31.4 at the NCAA West Regional in Fayetteville, Ark. two weeks earlier. Power also placed fifth in the 5,000m at the American Athletic Conference Championships with a time of 14:34.02.
The NCAA Championships takes place from Wednesday-Saturday, June 8-11. The 5,000m final is scheduled to race on Friday at 9:55 p.m. (CT)
