Tulsa Football Team Elects Captains

TULSA, Okla. –– At the conclusion of Tuesday morning practice session, Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery announced team captains for the 2022 season.

In a vote of every member, the Golden Hurricane team selected quarterback Davis Brin, receiver Keylon Stokes, defensive lineman Anthony Goodlow, safety Kendarin Ray and linebackers Jon-Michael Terry and Justin Wright as team captains.

"Our team elected captains Sunday and we announced those today after practice," said Montgomery. "The team completely votes on it. It's their decision."

"These are guys who have displayed the type of character and leadership that we need within our program. They're the ones that young guys on the team can go to, old guys on the team can go to. They'll have choices to make, decision to make."

"Their leadership in the locker room and on the field needs to be at the utmost level when you're a team captain. It's not only the pride they take in it, but also the responsibility of being named a team captain," Montgomery added.

Season tickets and single-game tickets are on sale for Tulsa's six-game home schedule. Fans can be purchase tickets online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling 918.631.4688. Season tickets range from $75 to $330, while single-game tickets are priced at $15, $30, $40 and $50.

The home opener against Northern Illinois on Sept. 10 is Fan Appreciation Day. On that day, the first 5,000 fans will receive a free t-shirt, while hot dogs, sodas and popcorn will be priced at $1.00.

Tulsa opens the season against the Wyoming Cowboys on Sept. 3, in Laramie, Wyoming.
