MILWAUKEE, -- Tulsa notched a 4-2 victory over Marquette Thursday (Aug. 25) on the road at Valley Fields in the season opener.
"It is good to get the first win and score four goals," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We created some good chances in the game and overall, our performance was pretty good. I thought Marquette was good in the attack, but we made some important plays and I was pleased with the win."

Tulsa got on the board when Marquette knocked in an own goal in the 30th minute.

The Golden Hurricane added another score on a goal from Sergio Baena -- his first goal of the season -- in the 34th minute, assisted by Mitchell Cashion.
Tulsa built its lead to 3-0 on Thomas Wells' 54th-minute goal, his first of the season. Luke Jeffus assisted the goal.
The Golden Eagles made it a 3-1 match with a 65th-minute goal from Lukas Sunesson.
Tulsa expanded its lead to make it a 4-1 game on Alex Meinhard's first goal of the season in the 84th minute, assisted by Tom Protzek.
The Golden Eagles narrowed the Golden Hurricane's lead to 4-2 thanks to an 90th-minute goal from Edrey Caceres, assisted by Abdoul Karim Pare.Â
