Tulsa’s Brin Named to Tyler Rose Weekly Award Honorable Mention List

TYLER, Texas –– University of Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin added another weekly honor when he was named to the honorable mention list for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, it was announced today by the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and SPORTyler.
The award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.
Brin, a 6'2" senior from Boerne, Texas, connected on back-to-back passes for 55 yards with under two minutes remaining to set up the game-winning touchdown in Tulsa's 38-35 victory over Northern Illinois Saturday night.
Brin finished the game with 322 yards and a career-high four touchdowns on 19-of-32 passing. His TD passes covered 14, 25, 20 and one yard. His one-yard TD pass came on 4th-and-goal to put Tulsa back ahead 31-28 in the 4th quarter.
