Tulsa Cross Country to Race in Competitive Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday

TULSA, Okla. –– The University of Tulsa men's and women's cross-country teams will get a look at the national championship course at the Cowboy Jamboree this Saturday morning in Stillwater.
The women will race first with a 7:45 start time for the 6k, while the sixth-ranked men will run the 8k at 8:30.
Things are set for a competitive morning on the OSU Cross Country Course as nine of the top 11 men's team in the countries will race, including each of the top six teams. In the women's race, six of the top 10 teams will take part in the Jamboree. In all, 30 teams will race on Saturday.
This is Tulsa's second time to run at the OSU Cross Country Course after competing in the Cowboy Preview on Sept. 1. The men finished fourth at the 5k event, led by Malte Propp's fifth-place finish in 15:04.4. Ryan Shumaker (11th), Max Nores (18th), Christian Baker (20th) and Pete Johnson (25th) placed in the top 25, and all four finished within 30 seconds of Propp.
In the women's 3K, Katharina Pesendorfer paced the Hurricane with a 20th-place finish in 11:02.1. Avery Hill nabbed 21st and was only two seconds behind Pesendorfer. All seven women finished within 30 seconds of each other.
