The University of Tulsa women's soccer team is at home one last time this season as the Golden Hurricane hosts the No. 9 Memphis Tigers on Thursday evening at the Golden Hurricane Soccer Stadium.
 
Kickoff against the Tigers is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Jeremie Poplin bringing fans the game. Fans unable to attend the match in person can catch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to access a variety of select Golden Hurricane sports content, including basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball games. In addition to the on-field action, the game will also serve as an occasion to honor breast cancer awareness. Tickets are available for $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets, or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
 
The Golden Hurricane enters the game with a record of 5-7-5, 3-1-4 in The American. Tulsa is coming off a fantastic week, securing a 5-0 victory against Temple and staging a remarkable comeback to win 4-2 over UAB on Sunday. The victories ensured Tulsa a spot in the conference tournament, where the Golden Hurricane have not featured since 2015.
 
Key players, including Jordan Frederick, continue to shine as of late. Frederick leads Tulsa with four goals and six assists this season. Kayla Fernandez is the reigning American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after contributing a goal and three assists in the past two games. Several other members of the Golden Hurricanes scored their first goals of the season, including Ashlyn Fernandez, who scored twice in the comeback over UAB. Eight different Hurricane have scored this season.
 
Memphis arrives at Thursday's game without a loss in conference play, already securing its spot as the West Division Champions in The American. The Tigers hold a 14-1 record, 8-0 in league play, outscoring their opponents 40-5.
 
Mya Jones leads the Tigers with seven goals and 11 assists, along with other key players including Saorla Miller with 10 goals, Anna Haurer with seven, and Momo Nakao with five. Six other Tigers have found the net this season. In goal, Kaylie Bierman has seen most the action, making 13 starts on the season with just 4 goals against and an average of 0.34 per game, which is the best in the nation.
 
Tulsa trails the all-time series with Memphis 2-13-3. The Hurricane is seeking its first win against the Tigers since a 3-0 win at home in 2012.
