TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa men's soccer team added three players to its 2024 signing class, including Trajan Wormington, Alex Cunningham and Eli Berry, head coach Tom McIntosh announced on Wednesday afternoon.

"We filled a couple of real specific needs with these three guys," McIntosh said. "We're pleased with Alex, Trajan and Eli. All three guys can impact the team immediately, and we're looking forward to having them join us next season."

A 5-10 versatile player from Springfield, Mo., Cunningham can play multiple positions on the pitch and has been playing soccer since he was 6 years old. He has played with the Sporting Kansas City Academy since 2019. In April, he inked an MLS NEXT Pro amateur contract with Sporting Kansas City II. Cunningham had a productive 2023 Generation Adidas Cup, where he helped the Sporting KC U-17 team finish with a 4-1-2 record. Playing in defense, he helped the team in five shutouts in seven matches and notched an assist.

"Alex is a very good all-around player," McIntosh said. "He can play in the midfield, and he can play right back. He's quick, very competitive and has a very good brain. We think he's a great fit for the team."

A 6-1 winger out of Springfield, Mo., Wormington also is a member of the Sporting Kansas City Academy. He joined prior to the 2021 season and in August signed his MLS Next Pro amateur contract with Sporting KC II, having made one appearance with the team. At the academy, he has represented Sporting KC at the U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels. He has played in two Generation Adidas Cups, scoring twice in the 2022-23 group stages, and two MLS Next Playoffs.

"Trajan is a dynamic wide player that can create chances for his teammates as well as himself," McIntosh said. "He has good technical ability to go along with pace and I think he is only going to get better as he matures physically."

Berry is a 6-2 forward from Edmond, Okla. who is a three-year letterwinner at Deer Creek High School. He helped lead the Antlers to a 15-4-2 record his junior season and a state semifinal appearance. He finished the season with 11 goals and five assists and was named the 2023 COAC Offensive Player of the Year and was selected to the Class 6A-1 All-District Team. At the club level, Berry has spent eight years with Oklahoma Energy FC, where he's picked up multiple club and personal accolades. He was named to the 2022 ECNL U16 All-America Team, played in the 2023 ECNL Florida National Selection Game and had the game-winning assist in the 2022 ECNL National Championship.

"Eli is an intelligent and strong left sided attacking player," McIntosh said. "He can beat people with the pass as well as on the dribble and can score goals. He is strong physically, tactically, and technically."
