
Tulsa Golfers Tee-Off Friday at the MountainView Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. –– The Tulsa women's golf team will be in action this week at the 54-hole, three-day MountainView Collegiate, Friday-Sunday, March 17-19, on the 6,352-yard, par-72 MountainView Golf Club.
The strong field includes 11 teams ranked among the nation's top-50 including #6 San Jose State, #23 Ohio State, #26 Iowa State, #34 Arkansas, #3 Houston, #37 TCU, #41 New Mexico, #42 Tulsa, #44 North Texas, #49 Nebraska and #50 North Carolina. New Mexico State, UNLV, Wisconsin, Southern Miss and co-hosts Kansas State and Missouri round out the 17-team field.
Tulsa is coming off a fourth-place performance at the Trinity Forest Invitational a week ago as sophomores Sydney Seigel and Lovisa Gunnar led the way with 14th place performances. Tulsa has placed among the top-4 in five of eight tournaments this season.
Tulsa enters the event with the team of senior Lilly Thomas, sophomores Sydney Seigel and Lovisa Gunnar and freshmen Grace Kilcrease and Emily Böhrer. Fellow freshman Jenni Roller will participate at the tournament as an individual.
Kilcrease leads the Golden Hurricane with a 72.1 stroke average in 23 rounds, while turning in five top-10 finishes in eight events. Thomas has a 73.4 average, while Gunnar and Seigel follow with 73.5 and 73.8 stroke averages this season.
Eighteen holes will be played on each of the three days.
