TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa fans had an opportunity join the Golden Hurricane football team on the field Saturday during Tulsa Football Springfest at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

"It was practice No. 6, and we had a chance to entertain on a beautiful day. The engagement with fans was good. We got some good work in before we opened things up. We had a lot of fun. We were able to get the fans down on the field and get kids involved with some activities. It was fun," said Head Coach Kevin Wilson.

Fans began watching practice at 11:30 a.m., and then 40 minutes into practice Coach Wilson invited fans onto the field to get a field level view of the workout and also the opportunity to participate in team drills.

Following a field goal kicking drill where some fans – young and old – had the chance to kick a field goal surrounded by the team, fans were able to get pictures and autographs from Hurricane players and coaches.
