Freshmen Shine on Day One of KT Woodman Classic

WICHITA, Kan. — Redshirt freshman Avery Hill and true freshman Charlie Krasnoff brought home two first-place finishes for The University of Tulsa track team Friday at the KT Woodman Classic, hosted by Wichita State.

Hill won the women's 10,000-meter run in 35:58.74, beating out 14 other competitors. Junior Kylee Reed took the third overall spot in the same race in 36:15.59.

Charlie Krasnoff got his first career win in the men's 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 14:15.13 and finishing ahead of 29 other competitors across two flights.

Tulsa added six more top-three finishes to go with five new personal bests to close out the day.
Â
The Golden Hurricane will return to action tomorrow, beginning with the women's 4x100-meter relay at 1 p.m.
