Tulsa Football Celebrates Fan Appreciation Day at Season Opener

Golden Hurricane opener is next Thursday, August 31



TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa celebrates Fan Appreciation Day on the opening weekend of the 2023 football season.
 
The Golden Hurricane kicks off the Kevin Wilson era on the Labor Day Weekend with a Thursday night (Aug. 31) game against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lions. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
 
Tailgating on Chapman Commons begins at 4 p.m., while musical artist and Tulsan Tony Mason takes the pre-game stage at 4:45 p.m. There will be food, rides and inflatables on Chapman Commons during pregame festivities.
 
The stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans will receive TU T-shirt, and $2 sodas and $4 beers will be available. The new school mascot will also be unveiled
 
Single-game tickets for the Tulsa-UAPB game are priced at $15, $30, $40 and $50. Season tickets and mini-plan ticket packages are still available.
 
Two mini-plan packages – Premium Min-Plan and Thirsty Thursday – are available this season. The Premium Mini-Plan, priced at $55, includes home games against Oklahoma (Sept. 16), Rice (Oct. 19) and the Homecoming game against Charlotte (Nov. 4). The Thirsty Thursday Packages are priced at $30 and features Tulsa's three home Thursday night games, including the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Aug. 31), Temple (Sept. 28) and Rice (Oct. 19).
