Tulsa Opens at Home Thursday Night

TULSA, Okla. –– Tulsa's first-year Head Coach Kevin Wilson met the media this week to discuss the end of preseason camp and preview the upcoming season opener against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lions this Thursday night.

Tulsa and UAPB will face-off for the first-time ever on the gridiron in a 7 p.m. kickoff Thursday, Aug. 31.

The game is Fan Appreciation Day. Tailgating on Chapman Commons begins at 4 p.m., while musical artist and Tulsan Tony Mason takes the pre-game stage at 4:45 p.m. There will be food, rides and inflatables on Chapman Commons during pregame festivities.

The stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans will receive FREE new mascot shirt, and $2 sodas and $4 beers will be available. The new school mascot will also be unveiled.

Single-game tickets for the Tulsa-UAPB game are priced at $15, $30, $40 and $50. Season tickets and mini-plan ticket packages are still available.
