
Cooper Legas Named The American Offensive Player of the Week

TULSA, Okla. –– Following his performance in Tulsa's come from behind 46-45 homecoming win over UTSA, Golden Hurricane quarterback Cooper Legas was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Legas came off the bench and to throw for 331 yards and five touchdowns. He also led the TU rushing game with 46 yards on the ground. Legas found running backs Bill Jackson and Viron Ellison for touchdowns, while connecting with graduate wide receiver Kamdyn Benjamin three times in the win.
In the fourth quarter, Legas threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns. On the game-winning 92-yard drive, he connected on 4-of-6 attempts for 87 yards, capping the drive with a four-yard TD pass to Benjamin with 1:01 on the clock.
Tulsa is on the road this week to face UAB at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 2. The game will air on ESPN+.
