TULSA, Okla. –– After catching seven passes for 125 yards and three second half touchdowns on Saturday, Golden Hurricane wide receiver Kamdyn Benjamin was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Weekly Honor Roll for Week 9.

Benjamin pulled in two touchdowns in the final 2:26 of the game to help Tulsa pull off the 46-45 comeback win on Homecoming. The Hurricane had trailed 35-7 at halftime and 42-17 with 5:30 remaining in the third quarter.

The Midlothian, Texas native proceeded to get the Tulsa offense rolling with an electrifying 74-yard touchdown. He caught a Cooper Legas pass at the Tulsa 40 on the near sideline. Benjamin then spun inside his defender, who caught all air, and won the race to the endzone, aided by a block from freshman receiver Joseph Williams.

Benjamin scored for the second time with a back of the endzone grab from 20 yards out on fourth-and-5 late in the final quarter. On Tulsa's next possession, he capped an 8-play, 92-yard drive with the game-winning touchdown on a four-yard reception.

This was Benjamin's second game with 100+ yards receiving this season and fourth of his career. It was also a career high in touchdowns. He is the second Tulsa player to receive national accolades after Saturday's win. Legas was named the AP National Player of the Week and one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week.
