Sanders Breaks Saves Record, Tulsa Falls at Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tulsa fell to Charlotte, 4-0, on Sunday at Charlotte Soccer Field in a conference matchup, with senior Tatum Sanders breaking the program record for career saves, bringing her total to 294.
The match began with Charlotte applying early pressure, as Evie Craven took two shots in the opening minutes. Tulsa's Tatum Sanders made a crucial save on Reese Black's shot in the 10th minute, marking the beginning of her record-breaking performance. Megan Bradley broke through to score in the 23rd minute with an assist from Naroa Domenech, putting Charlotte ahead. Just two minutes later, Black extended the lead to 2-0 with an unassisted goal. Tulsa's Natalie Hernandez and Brenna Rowlett both had attempts saved by Charlotte's goalkeeper Harlee Head as the half progressed, with Hernandez firing a career-high three shots, contributing to her season total of nine. However, the score remained at 2-0 in favor of Charlotte at the end of the first half.
