Statement From Justin Moore on The House Settlement
6/9/2025 11:22:00 AM | Tulsa Hurricane
Dear Golden Hurricane Faithful,
As you may know, the landscape of college athletics is changing rapidly. Most recently, the formal approval of the settlement in the House v. NCAA case has opened the door for universities to share revenue with student-athletes. At The University of Tulsa, we have anticipated these changes and are fully embracing this new era—one that builds upon our proud tradition of excellence.
Through it all, our mission remains unchanged: to compete for championships and provide a world-class experience for our student-athletes. Tulsa is well-positioned for success—on the field, in the classroom, and in our community.
These new opportunities will allow us to enhance the resources available to our programs and elevate every team to compete at the highest level within the American Athletic Conference. I want to personally reaffirm our commitment to you: we will strive to WIN championships, ENGAGE more deeply with the Tulsa community, and DEVELOP our student-athletes and staff to reach their full potential.
How You Can Make a Difference:
This annual fund supports all TU Athletics programs and student-athletes, helping offset the rising costs of operating a competitive Division I athletics program. It directly impacts the experience of over 400 TU student-athletes—both on the field and in the classroom.
The Case Fund
Part of our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, this fund strengthens the academic support systems for our student-athletes. Thanks to the generosity of TU supporter Mike Case, contributions to this fund are matched, doubling your impact.
Loyal Always True Fund
This fund offers flexible, sport-specific support that allows TU Athletics to meet evolving needs in this new era. Contributions help fund:
Sincerely,

Justin Moore
Vice President & Director of Athletics
