Dear Golden Hurricane Faithful,
As I reflect back on my first year serving as your Director of Athletics, one word comes to mind: grateful. I am so thankful for your warm welcome and the steadfast support that you have shown my family and me. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to lead such a passionate and engaged athletic community and it is our people—our student-athletes, our coaches, our staff and our supporters—who make this place so special.
This past year, with your generosity and support and an incredible team of professionals, we were able to achieve the highest annual fundraising total in the history of Tulsa Athletics! The catalyst for this remarkable achievement was shattering our previous TU Giving Day record, recording $757,385 donations in a single day. We also set records in both licensing royalties and sponsorship revenue.
Our student-athletes recorded the highest GPA in school history this year with a 3.36 GPA. Fifty-three Hurricane student-athletes earned All-Conference academic honors and 25 were named Academic All-District by CSC.
On the field of play, two of our teams—Women's Cross Country and Women's Golf—won American Conference titles—setting the competitive standard we aim for all of our programs. Overall, four teams competed in NCAA Championships in their respective sports.
One of the year's proudest moments was the reinstatement of our storied Men's Golf program after a nine-year hiatus, becoming our 18th varsity sport. This historic return was made possible through the generosity of our donors, including several alumni who helped establish the proud legacy of Tulsa Men's Golf.

I'm proud of what we've accomplished and excited about what's ahead. In year two, we're focused on growth as we implement the Tulsa Athletics Strategic Plan; with the vision to become the standard of excellence in our conference. This plan is designed to DEVELOP our student-athletes and staff, ENGAGE our community, and WIN championships. We believe this plan positions Tulsa Athletics for long-term success.
