Tulsa Football Set For American Football Kickoff

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Tulsa football players Kirk Francis and Chris Thompson Jr., along with head coach Tre Lamb are set to represent the Golden Hurricane at the 2025 American Conference Kickoff on Thursday and Friday at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Twenty-eight student athletes are scheduled to attend this year's Kickoff, which will be held in Charlotte for the first time. Media sessions will begin at 12 p.m. CT on Thursday and will continue Friday morning with press conferences with the 14 head coaches. Commissioner Tim Pernetti will deliver his remarks on Friday at 7:15 a.m. CT.
On Thursday, players and coaches will participate in photo and video shoots, while the players also get some time to compete in EA College Football 26. The evening ends with players enjoying batting practice and dinner at Truist Field, the home of the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
The bulk of the interviews will take place on Friday.
Live coverage of the American Kickoff will air Friday, July 25, at 7 a.m. CT on ESPN+ as Maria Trivelpiece, Rene Ingoglia, and Leger Douzable interview coaches and student-athletes from all 14 teams.
Coach Lamb, Francis and Thompson Jr., will be on set with Maria, Rene and Leger at 7:40 a.m. CT, with Coach Lamb taking the podium at 8 a.m. CT.
