ATLANTA, Ga. – Tulsa's Stephen Kittleman has earned a pair of prestigious honors for his dedication both on and off the field. He has been named to the 2025 Allstate Wuerffel Trophy Watch List and is the recipient of the American Conference Community Impact Award, as selected by the league's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

A record 116 student-athletes were named to the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, which recognizes college football players from across the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) who exemplify community service, academic excellence, and athletic achievement.

The American Community Impact Award honors a student-athlete who has made a meaningful impact in the campus or surrounding community through service work. One student-athlete or group from each American member institution is eligible for nomination each academic year.

Kittleman, a Tulsa, Oklahoma native, served as the President of Tulsa's SAAC Committee for the 2024-25 school year where he led with purpose, expanding the committee's impact both on campus and in the Tulsa community. Under his leadership, SAAC organized numerous initiatives, including two Powerful Minds Weeks focused on student-athlete mental health, two Unity Weeks celebrating diversity and inclusion, participation in the city-wide MLK Day Parade, two SAAC Days of Service, and multiple Welcome Back events that strengthened connections among athletes, coaches, and staff.

Kittleman personally volunteered at Common Good during the Day of Service, where he mentored children and connected with youth through recreational activities. He also worked with One Hope Tulsa to help build a playground, providing a lasting community resource, and served meals at a John 3:16 Mission fundraising event benefiting individuals experiencing homelessness.

In addition, as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Stephen led weekly gatherings for 50–75 student-athletes, fostering spiritual growth, personal development, and community. He coordinated guest speakers, organized events, and mentored athletes, cultivating a space of encouragement, leadership, and purpose.

He's appeared in 24 career games for Tulsa, including leading the Golden Hurricane to touchdown against Oklahoma State, when he rushed for a nine-yard touchdown, the first of his career.
