
Tulsa Shuts Out Southwestern Christian in First Exhibition

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa men's soccer team enjoyed a high-scoring 5-0 clean sheet over the Southwest Christian Eagles Wednesday night during the season-opening exhibition contest for the Golden Hurricane.
Five different Golden Hurricane scored throughout the night, including Arnau Pedrola Fortuny (9'), Gijs Hovius (33'), Chris Nezianya (51'), Aimar Membrila (77') and Jared Aguilar (85'). Returning senior Nils Orywol assisted on the final two goals, while Carlito Saylon (W) and Sebastian Gorecki combined for a shutout while guarding the net.
The Tulsa men are back in action this Saturday, August 9, as they take on SMU at home in the second of three preseason exhibitions this season. The team will be selling jerseys, shirts, cleats, socks and shorts from 6-8 p.m. in honor of National Garage Sale Day. All proceeds will go towards the Loyal Always True Fund.
