TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa women's soccer team will officially kick off their season under the Friday night lights on August 8 in an exhibition match against Oklahoma State. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. in the Hurricane Soccer Stadium, and it will be a ticketed event starting at $12.50.
In honor of National Garage Sale Day this weekend, the Tulsa women will be selling game-worn jerseys ($20), cleats ($20), T-shirts ($10), shorts ($10) and socks ($5) from when gates open at 6 p.m. through the end of halftime. Be there early as supplies won't last long. All proceeds will go to the Loyal Always True Fund, which equips UTulsa Athletics to meet the greatest needs of Golden Hurricane student athletes, from new equipment and travel accommodations to academic and mental health support.
Ranked No. 22 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches Poll, Oklahoma State is coming off a 14-5-3 campaign from a year ago. Although the Cowgirls were shutout in the Big 12 quarterfinal and the NCAA first round, they still had a strong regular season, going 8-2-1 against non-conference foes.
