COMMERCE, Texas — The University of Tulsa (5-2-0, 0-0-0) dominated East Texas A&M University (3-3-0, 0-0-0) with an 8-0 victory at Lion Soccer Field on Thursday, led by five first-half goals.
Tulsa dominated the first half against East Texas A&M, scoring five goals on 10 shots, showcasing their efficiency. The scoring began in the 12th minute with an own goal by the Lions, followed by a penalty kick success from Jordan Frederick at 26:21. This was the third game of the season where Frederick scored two goals, bringing her season total to 18. Blaine Schutte, who had a season-high in both shots and shots on goal, added to the lead in the 29th minute, and Frederick scored again at 36:54 with an assist from Katie Nguyen, marking Nguyen's first career assist.
