BOCA RATON, Fla. — Maura Moore continued to dominate in the circle, while Tulsa's bats stayed hot in a 9-1 victory over Florida Atlantic on Friday. Tulsa's offense was highlighted by two home runs as it amassed nine hits, including a pair of doubles, contributing to four-run bursts in both the fourth and fifth innings.
Maci Cole led the team with three runs scored, three hits, and three RBI, including a home run. Preslee Ray contributed significantly with two hits and five RBI, including her first career home run. Moses added two runs and two hits, including a double. Moore pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run over five innings while securing the win, her third in as many starts.
In the second inning, Maci Cole put Tulsa on the board with a solo home run to left field, making it 1–0.
The fourth inning saw Tulsa extend its lead significantly. Daeya Moses doubled to left center, followed by another double from Cole, bringing Moses home. Preslee Ray then hit a three-run homer, driving in Cole and Claira Skaggs, bringing the score to 5–1.
In the fifth inning, Tulsa continued its offensive success. Faith Russell and Moses contributed RBI singles, while Ray capped the scoring with a two-RBI single. By the end of the inning, Tulsa led 9–1 and that was all they needed as Moore allowed just five hits in the win.
Tulsa is now 8-4 in its last 12 American Conference games and look to win its fourth series in five tries.
