
Early Offense Leads Tulsa to Midweek Win Over Kansas City

KANSAS CITY — Tulsa jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 6-3 win over Kansas City on Wednesday. The win closes a seven-game road trip that saw the Golden Hurricane win four games.
Amber Turner scored three runs and drew two walks while Daeya Moses hit a home run and collected two RBI. Maci Cole added two RBI with a double and Faith Russell had a pair of hits. Makenzie Freeman pitched 4.2 innings, allowing no earned runs and securing her second win of the year.
In the first inning, Maci Cole doubled to left center, bringing home Claira Skaggs and Amber Turner, establishing an early 2–0 lead. The momentum continued in the second inning as Annika Dill scored on a sacrifice fly by Mackenzy Glenn, extending Tulsa's lead to 3–0.
In the fifth inning, Daeya Moses hit a home run down the left field line, driving in two runs and increasing the lead to 5–1.
In the seventh inning, Amber Turner scored on a passed ball before Maura Moore pitched the seventh inning to pick up the win over the Roos.
Tulsa returns home to face UAB for a three-game set beginning Friday.
