Tulsa Drops Regular Season Finale to Charlotte, 9-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tulsa fell to Charlotte, 9-1, at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium on Sunday, to close the regular season.
Tulsa (19-32, 10-17 American) managed two hits, including a solo home run, while Charlotte (31-25, 14-13 American) recorded four home runs among its 10 hits.
Aliya Scarborough contributed significantly with her second home run in as many days. Madison Garcia added to the offense with a hit in her sole appearance at the plate.
In the second inning, Charlotte took the lead with a solo home run. This gave Charlotte a 1-0 edge at the end of the second inning. That would be the only hit by either side through three innings.
Scarborough put Tulsa on the scoreboard in the fourth inning with a solo home run to right field, briefly tying the game. However, Charlotte responded with two runs in their half, including another home run, ending the inning with a 3-1 lead.
Charlotte extended its lead in the fifth inning with a pair of runs before ending the game with four runs in the sixth inning.
Tulsa remains in North Carolina where they will travel to Grenville for the American Conference Championships beginning on Wednesday.
