NACOGDOCHES, Texas — The University of Tulsa (2-0-0) secured a decisive 4-1 victory over Stephen F. Austin State University (1-2-0) on Thursday evening at SFA Soccer Field. The Tulsa offense dominated the match with 24 shots, 11 of which were on goal.

Tulsa initiated the match with a strong offensive presence, resulting in an early lead. Kaylyn Simmons scored the opening goal in the 13th minute, setting the pace for the Golden Hurricane with her most points in a single game. The team continued its momentum when Lauren McIntyre extended the lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute, assisted by Simmons and Parker McGraw. This marked McIntyre's first career goal.
