TULSA – Was a four-year letterwinner … started in 15 of 40 games … had six goals and five assists for 17 career points … returned for a fifth season as the NCAA granted student-athletes an extra year of eligibility due to the coronavirus pandemic.
SUPER SENIOR (2022) – Started in two of 16 games … had game-winning goals against Marquette and Kansas City … recorded an assist against Kansas City and Florida Atlantic … attempted 14 shots … was named TU’s “Man of the Match” against Marquette.
RED-SHIRT SENIOR (2021) – Did not play … missed the season due to injury.
SENIOR (2020-21) – Did not play.
JUNIOR (2019) – Started in three games … recorded a goal against Lipscomb … attempted 13 shots.
SOPHOMORE (2018) – Started in seven of 10 games … picked up an assist against Oral Roberts … attempted 10 shots, five of which were on goal.
FRESHMAN (2017) – Started in three of 11 games … ranked second on the team in goals (3), assists (2) and points (8), and third in points (13) … had two goals against Memphis, including the game-winner … also added a goal against Santa Clara … recorded an assist at Santa Clara … attempted 13 shots, nine of which were on goal … was named TU’s “Man of the Match” against Santa Clara.
PRIOR TO TULSA – Played for Kapaun Mount Carmel Catholic High School … led KMCCHS to 50 wins in four seasons … recorded 76 goals and 31 assists, including 50 goals and nine assists as a senior … was selected as the Class 5A Offensive Player of the Year as a senior … was a two-time, first-team all-state, all-metro and all-league performer … had five consecutive games with a hat-trick to rank third in the nation for most consecutive games with a hat-trick his senior season … concluded his career with a school-record 14 hat-tricks … also played club soccer for the U19 Wichita RUSH and was a member of the U18 Wichita Rojos.
PERSONAL – Working towards his master’s degree in business … earned his bachelor’s degree in finance in December 2020 … born June 12, 1999 … son of Blake and Christine Wells … was named to the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
