HIGH SCHOOL -- Was a three-year letterwinner and starter at Jenks High School . . . was on two Class 6A state championship teams in his sophomore and junior seasons and runners-up as a senior . . . helped lead his team to a three-year mark of 38-4 record . . . started at right guard as a sophomore and junior, and at left guard his senior season . . . named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association all-state team . . . was a second-team all-state and all-metro selection by the Tulsa World as a senior . . . earned 6A-3 all-district first team accolades his senior season . . . high school coach was Allan Trimble.
