- Passed for a career-high 296 yards and three passing touchdowns against Temple on October 25, 2025.
- Connected with Brody Foley for a 72-yard touchdown against Tulane, the longest player of the season for Tulsa.
- Set a freshman record at TU with six 200-yard passing games.

- Made his debut on November 16 vs. Furman and in his first collegiate game, Hayes completed three of five passes for 42 yards.
- Hayes would get the starting nod in the regular season finale at VMI on November 23.
- He became the first true freshman to start for the Bucs under center since 1993.
- In his first start, Hayes led the Bucs to a 16-9 win over the Keydets where he completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 119 yards.
