Jackson Patton

Jackson Patton was named director of recruiting for The University of Tulsa men’s basketball program in April 2022.
 
During his time, the Tulsa basketball team improved 11 victories from year one to year two, while posting a 16-15 overall record with seven American Athletic Conference wins in the 2023-24 season.
 
Patton came to Tulsa following two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama.
 
At Bama, Patton assisted with player development and specifically skill development by conducting individual workouts and films sessions. He was also highly involved in recruiting from evaluation to organizing official and unofficial visits. He coached four NBA and two G-League players, as well as 2021 SEC Player of the Year, Herb Jones, and 2021 SEC Tournament MVP, Jahvon Quinerly. 
 
During Patton's tenure at Alabama, Patton helped head coach Nate Oats and staff record two top-15 recruiting classes, which included two first round NBA picks. The Crimson Tide won an SEC regular season and tournament title, two NCAA Tournaments and a Sweet 16 appearance. 
 
A 2020 graduate of Olivet College, Patton earned his degree in journalism and mass communications while playing on the men’s basketball team. He began his career at Adrian College and spent one season on the basketball squad.
 
In the summer of 2017, Patton was a basketball product intern at Under Armour.
 
Patton is a native of Cement City, Michigan.
