PRIOR TO TULSA - Was a three-year letterwinner at Santa Margarita Catholic High School . . . was a two-time all-league, all-Orange County and all-state first team performer . . . during his senior season, he led his team to league and state titles and to a No. 4 final national ranking . . . scored 18 goals and earned eight assists for 44 points in 29 games . . . as a junior, he scored 21 goals and collected 10 assists for 52 points and was a second-team all-state selection after helping his team to a league championship and a state tournament semifinal finish . . . scored 11 goals and helped SMCHS to a league championship and quarterfinal finish in the state tournament as a sophomore . . . played 12 years for the Pateadores Club Team and led that squad to a Southern California Region IV state title in 2006 and a National Club title in 2005 . . . his team won six championships during the 2005 and 2006 seasons . . . ranked among the top-100 players in the state by Student Sports Magazine.
